About the Authors
Linda Davis Kyle is a fitness and health and general interest writer whose articles have appeared in local, regional, national, and international publications such as Children's Playmate, Martial Arts Training, Healthy Options, and World Travel Magazine. Her work has been published in Canada, the United States, the Netherlands Antilles, Ireland, England, South Africa, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Qatar, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
She is co-author of The Writer's Friend and the e-book, Writing Tips Galore, and the author of Change Your Life with Martial Arts and Fun Foods for Kids & Grownups. She earned her Master's degree in English from Tennessee Technological University. She not only enjoys instructing informal classes in writing and editing to youngsters and adults alike, but also Kyle holds a TEFL certificate and loves opportunities to teach English as a foreign language in Asia and in Latin America.
William Meikle from Kinross, Kinrosshire, Scotland, the co-author of "Adventures in Abunda Gardens," the introductory story in Fun Foods for Kids & Grownups, has sold more than 150 short stories predominantly to science fiction and fantasy magazines and e-zines in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Greece, India, Canada, and the United States. Among his books are The Johnson Amulet and Other Scottish Terrors, Island Life, Watchers trilogy: The Coming of the King and The Battle for the Throne, and Eldren: The Book of the Dark. He also is a co-author of Writing Tips Galore: Turn Over a New Leaf for Writing & Marketing Success.
About the Editors
Guy Lancaster holds two degrees in English, is a PhD candidate at Arkansas State University in Heritage Studies, and is working on a degree in theology from St. Gregory's University. In addition, he has studied Japanese language and literature at Sophia University in Tokyo. He is a former staff editor for Arkansas Review: A Journal of Delta Studies. Lancaster was the editor of The Writer's Friend and co-editor of Change Your Life with Martial Arts and Fun Foods for Kids & Grownups. He is the author of the novel, Queen of Purgatory, and a freelance correspondent for the Arkansas Catholic, a diocesan newspaper, and a columnist for the Part-Time Heretic.
Mindy Reed is a reference librarian, editor, and indexer with degrees from UT-Austin, SMU, and Kansas State University. Prior to founding The Authors' Assistant she was Director of Procurement for Dell Computer Corporation. She is a member of the Writers' League of Texas, Women in Scholarly Publishing, and The American Association of Indexers. Reed was the co-editor of Change Your Life with Martial Arts and Fun Foods for Kids & Grownups.
About the Designers
Chet Lofgren, an award-winning designer and sculptor and the founder of Featherlit Designs, prepared the final polished layout of Fun Foods for Kids & Grownups and designed the cover. He received his BFA degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
Peter Friebel, a graphic designer from Canada, helped to polish the layout of Fun Foods for Kids & Grownups.
Rickey Mallory of Mallory Design created preliminary promo covers for Change Your Life with Martial Arts and Fun Foods for Kids & Grownups.
Jennifer Gonzales, a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in photojournalism, designed the final book cover and interior layout of Change Your Life with Martial Arts and did some early text design work on Fun Foods for Kids & Grownups.
